what you’ll learn
Over six sessions, you and your dog will cover the foundations of gundog training, building skills that are fun, rewarding, and useful. Each session comes with homework so you can practice before the next one.
↟ Focus, Engagement & Motivation: Calm, clear connection with your dog around others. Build attention and motivation through fun, natural engagement games, and introduce a marker system to communicate clearly.
↟ Heelwork & Steadiness: Structured walks without nagging or luring, start/stop cues, and an intro to placeboard work.
↟ Whistle Commands: Introduction to recall and stop whistle.
↟ Retrieving Foundations: Mechanics of a clean retrieve, delivery to hand, avoiding chasey habits, building motivation.
↟ Intro to Hunting: Teaching your dog controlled hunting games, nose-to-brain engagement, and starting patterns.
↟ Calmness & Clarity: Putting it all together, rewarding “doing nothing,” owner timing and expectations, and practising at home without overdoing it.
Bonus: Every dog gets a starter kit including a whistle & lanyard, canvas dummy, treat pouch, and a course handbook with tasks, homework, and video demos.
